Bye pass this place. There are absolutely NO amenities even though the owner advertises that there is. The owner is extremely controlling & will try to charge you for every little thing. Even tries to control the way you park at your RV site even though it's actually on the gravel area @ your space. And God forbid if you happen to drive off the gravel edge, even though there's actually gravel under the weeds. I even had my hood up on my truck checking my fluids, etc. & he came to my site making a statement, "I thought you might be dropping a motor in your truck." Extremely petty with RV'ers, but it's alright for him to replace batteries & allow his son to do a brake job on his truck & van. Move on to another RV Park closer to Wichita.
Management not very friendly about new customers. Had most spots empty yet told us we had to leave by 9am instead of 1pm because he had 2 customers coming the next day, even though there were at least 10 open spots. Charged us extra for our 12 year old daughter being with us
After staying several nights on the road too close to noisy fwys, the place was a nice break. It's nothing fancy. Dead grassy weeds and lite gravel, but the utilities work and we slept with the windows open, nice and quiet.
I have been Long term parking for 3 months, Jim and Mary are wonderful people. Jim watches over my RV,since I am a trucker. Very clean and quite park, no trash in this park. No drunks stumbling around, no he'll raisers, no dogs running at large, no cars driving through here all hours of the night just peaceful. It's nice to sit outside and watch the sunset and I love the blue lights throught the park at night. North Star is a nice Park.
