We are proud to present our North Landing Beach camp resort & campground offering the perfect combination of amenities and rustic camping.
A playful railroad theme is just a hint of all the fun you will have at this one-of-a-kind resort. Offering full hook-up RV Sites, Cabin Rentals, and Tent Sites. The campground is full of authentic railroad boxcars, club cars, and cabooses – and you can spend the night in one! Situated on 55 acres on the enchanted Lake Oconee, North Shore Landing is a pure natural beauty. Its majestic location, located outside Atlanta, makes it one of our most enjoyable and wonderful RV camping properties. Lake Oconee not only provides a movie like background but the many recreational activities you will enjoy will keep your interest in hours. Fishing, boating or just wandering on the shoreline, it truly is an amazing spot. Plus, its proximity to the lovely town of Greensboro will be a destination you will love to explore!
Seriously needs to work on the roads, and remove trees by the sites that are near the lake.
When backing into those sites by the lake especially the one's toward the permanent spots. Also they need to do something about the ant issue.
First of all I rated 2 stars due to the staff were friendly and very helpful. The lake was beautiful. Now the downside. When we pulled up to the entrance the BIG sign said KOA. We were not even sure we had the correct place. It did say North Shore Landing below it but was not very visible. There are also long term residents in the campground. A lot of these places are not maintained as you can see in the attached picture. There is alot of work that needs to be done. There were 4 wheelers in the campground going up the hill at our campsite and were pretty close to hitting our truck. As a TRA member for approximately 12 years this is not the TRA standard that I gave come to expect. I will not be going back. Our home base- Sycamore Lodge is excellent and what we have come to expect in the resorts.
Simply put, it is HORRIBLE! At least it was for us when we visited there. We were sorely disappointed. North Shore Landing is nothing more than a low budget trailer park. It is filled with permanent residents. As a matter of fact, the majority of the cabins and campsites belong to people who actually call that place home. It is tight and cluttered with the residents' belongings. It's junky and void of activities for those who visit. The people were far from friendly and accommodating. The site for our short stay was on a dirt and gravel hill, which was uneven and made leveling very difficult. We were set to tour the grounds at 8:30 A.M. When our tour guide arrived, he was obviously intoxicated and refused to take us on the tour as planned. In his "drunken rant," he said he had just been fired because NSL was closing, and he said that it would be a waste of his time. We got no advance warning of this and was provided little to no info. We were scheduled to be there for a 3-day 2-night stay. However, after we were so badly "mistreated" we left after being there only a day (a day too long)! North Shore Landing--the best thing you can do is to close and revise your status as an RV Resort to trailer park.
Nice place but the Internet and wifi are almost non-existent. No local TV channels. And if you're watching something on Prime it cuts in and out constantly. The one day it was nice enough to sit at the pool the gate was locked. The activities are only on the weekends and are run by kids. We were with our water today because a water line broke. Took them 8 hours to fix it, they back filled it before testing it and it burst again. 7pm and still no water. It's a peaceful park but I don't think we'll be back.
