This is my favorite place to go camping anywhere around Jamestown.

We were here for the state cross country event. Nice and chilly.

Beautiful setting beside the lake. There seem to be just a few campsites, but at least two have concrete pads with picnic tables. $10.00 per night. No hookups or bath facilities, no playground, very few trees near the campsites, mosquitoes, and May flies were buzzing around...but it sure is a nice view! It's primitive camping at its best! Sadly, the people who had this site before us left lots of dog food scattered on the pad and a few food waste items. We cleaned up a bit - as much as possible, so it's ready for other campers to enjoy.

We loved camping here! Arrived at midnight after a long day of road-tripping and were literally the only people in the park besides the attendant. It’s a beautiful, quiet place full of trees and they have plenty of restrooms. Can’t beat $10 for a peaceful night!

A variety of trails (hiking, mtn biking, equestrian) with a range of endurance options to cater to your needs. Any can be casually traversed.

Campsite options range from the North side of the campground to the southernmost, near the reservoir, or towards the west if you're bringing horses.

This is a campground that's mostly rather quiet & low-key; barely any neighbors, but you may come upon a busy weekend and a more unpredictable stay. Overall, we've always had a laid-back experience while here.

It's a COE dam/rec area, these rangers can be of assistance, plus there are campground hosts (unsure of dates.)

Keep in mind the first come first served, casual Campsite booking aspect if considering

(Look up other photos/details online! Great area to explore)
