Nice little campground. Bathrooms were clean. There was a bit of a fiasco with the spot we reserved already being occupied when we got there. I called the number listed and apparently there were a few issues that weekend, and we ended up getting a spot that was closer to our friends that was open, so it worked out well. I just think they may need to tweak the placement of their number signs to prevent that in the future. One of the spots our friends reserved had low hanging branches overhead that ended up breaking their air conditioner and poking holes in their roof when they backed in. So watch out!
This is an excellent small, safe, quiet and well maintained campground. It's a good value and you can leave with some sleep and a shower.
Just a stop-over on our way to theodre roosevelt national park. It was ok. The reservation system was a bit strange, but the people are accomodating and nice. It's not really "lake side" but you can walk over to the lake and see glimpses of it through the trees. It was quiet our first night (thursday), but the Griswolds pulled in next to us on Friday. Luckily we're leaving tomorrow a.m. The sites are close together and really no privacy. The showers were horrendous. The drains didn't work well, the mats looked gross and you end up standing in a cesspool of water. Even with flipflops on, it grossed me out. At least the water was hot and continuous. Not the push- button-for-3-seconds-of-water kind. Bathrooms are grungy looking. On a more positive note, it's close to the expressway and the Buffalo museum and the cute little village. Don't miss it.
