This was quite a find! We were one of three on a Saturday night. It was a beautiful, peaceful and rustic. Hand pumps for water -- absolutely perfect! Thank you cows for the evening serenade. Star gazing was amazing!
Great spot! Plenty of forest roads to explore. There is an 8 mile trail to hike through the grassland. A couple put toilets. Two loops of campsites - 3 campers on a Friday night in August. Cattle walks by. Well taken care of. $10 per night.
Beautiful campground nestled in the grassland. Half camper/ tent sites and the other half is horse camping. About half of each is shaded with trees. Peaceful and quiet except for the free range cows mooing :) out houses are clean and well maintained. Water pump. Absolutely nothing for kids to do here. Bring ur own firewood, none here, or forage along the trails. Flies are a bit annoying . Pet friendly.
