From I-29, take exit 141 West onto US-2. In about 14 miles, turn right to the Cargo Gate (closed on weekends). Once through the gate, you'll be on Eielson St. Stay on this road and drive straight down to Outdoor Recreation to register, then continue to the end of the road which naturally turns right into the campground.
Could have been a great place to camp. Trash & uninforced rules regarding pet waste. Unrepaired septic from being unmarked & driving over. Long term residence had bags of trash thrown in front of space & kids toys strewn over two spaces too bad.
Worst campground we have ever stayed at. They tell you one price over the phone and when you get there they charge you per person on top of for your camper/RV/tent. They charged us for our infant daughter. There is no hand soap in their bathrooms, or shelves in their showers to set your things on. They also charge for the electricity on top of what you are already paying to park here. Would NOT ever recommend this campground to anyone!
Please beware. This place is a total dump. They lie about the electric charges, no Wi-Fi, trash everywhere, and if it rains it’s a swamp. 4 years traveling and this is one of the worst places we have ever stayed at.
We've stayed here twice. Surrounded by
beautiful farm fields, down a gravel road that is treated for dust control along the perimeter. Spacious laundry in the office building during business hours with free library offerings. Carla is a gracious host and keeps the showers and restrooms immaculate. Quiet, clean, peaceful, all around a great place to stay. Thumbs up 👍.
