Awesome camp ground. Well maintained and clean. The road going up isn't to bad. Can get tight on some parts. Will most definitely see some deer up there. A few short trails and some really long ones like Crest Trail. Overall an awesome place to camp or stay for a few hours.

You are way above at the top of the peak. Can see way far to the southeast. Campsites are not too close to each other and several have protective shelters over tables. Really cool drive up. Very beautiful.

Great place. 8 spots at 9000 foot altitude. They all have picnic tables and fire pits. 3 still have awnings over the picnic tables. If you like quiet and solitude you are home here.

Took almost an hour to drive the 9 miles or so to get here once you get off the main road but it was decent and graveled all the way up. No muddy roads to slide on in the rain. I had 2 wheel drive pick up. I wouldn’t take a big trailer up here. Maybe up to 20 footer but I would do bigger than that. A few potholes here and there and a few kinda tight turns. They have 2 bathrooms and a community picnic table area as well if you can’t get a camping spot. We met the lady who works at the observation tower at the peak just up the road. Real sweetheart. She said few people come up here and almost never seen it full even on the weekends. She said 14 years ago a big fire burnt a lot in this area including 5 of the 8 picnic awnings at the campsites.

While we were here there was only 1 other campsite taken. A few other cars would drive through and look and take pics but then leave. It’s Saturday night here on our second night and only 3 spots taken as of 5pm. If I’m in area again I will come back.
