A hidden gem of a campground. Stayed at group camp B over the 4th of July weekend. Lovely little river running through a aspen forest with several nice places to throw down a tent. Isolated enough to be quiet and yet running water and pit toilets are right there.
Really out of the way but awesome when you get there. This is not near anything, no cell signal. Small place almost designated as an ORV spot w/ group camping, about 7,-8 single person spots. Nice creek running through it. Altitude about 6-8 thousand feet in a narrow canyon type place w/lots of trees.
Loved it! Clean restroom, open air, great star gazing, quiet creek, far back of the road so not a lot of vehicles. Picnic tables were in great condition. Camp tender came by often to check up on the site. We stayed several days and very much enjoyed the site.
The most beautiful campground I've ever seen. By far the best camping I've ever done. Wish i could have stayed longer. Go to sleep listening to this pulchritudinous creek babbling in your ear, watch the sun rise over the mountains, and listen to the birds sing in the birch trees. If im ever in Nevada again, i think driving any number of hours out of my way to spend 15 minutes here would be time well spent. I envy the National Forest interns i saw working here.
Awesome place, great to keep the kids busy
nights were in the mid 40’s, campgrounds currently don’t have running water do to construction 7/2023
