About Campground

This beautiful marsh also promises excellent birding and wildlife spotting opportunities. Despite its name, actual Fish Lake Valley Hot Springs fishing is fairly restrictive, due to being a sensitive region and prime habitat for the critically endangered Fish Lake Valley tui chub. Keep your eyes peeled for large schools of goldfish found within the warm ponds year-round. Because this natural oasis is found in the middle of high-desert landscape without other water sources for miles, an abundance of wildlife is drawn to the spring as a watering hole.

The Fish Lake Hot Springs are a free public resource. Before you hit the road, brush up on Hot Springs Etiquette and be sure to avoid camping within 100 feet of the hot spring. Be respectful of the local wildlife residents, too, and leave them plenty of space.

All the pics looked gorgeous! But we never made it. The road we came in was way understated for its difficulty and chances of snow.

Mind you we were in a 38 foot RV towing a trailer. But we are an adventurous duo and took it on. We made it the entire trek until about 10 minutes til the destination because of snow!!!

Gravel road took us about an hour or more. Came down silver peak rd which was awesome because we got to drive right through the lithium fields, 2 ghost towns- Silver peak and Blair.

Gorgeous views!!! Silence and peace out there on the trek to fish lake.

Definitely out of the way but worth the drive! Off NV264 down a dirt road. No 4x4 needed, a car could do it slowly. Places to camp but the good spots are limited. You can swim in both ponds, and the hot spring is concreted in so it’s like a hot tub. Water was probably 105° in the hot spring.
