Awesome place. There are great trails surrounding the staging areas. Plenty of room for camping. Although if you do go, pack out what you pack in. Shotgun shells, car part targets, burnt couch frames, glass bottles and cans, general trash...take it with you or lose the land.
I was in a bone stock Jeep Wrangler rental car and I still had an absolute blast. I didn't want to sit in a hotel all day so went out with a full tank of gas and explored an amazing area. Download google local maps just in case but everything leads somewhere and always people around so was never afraid of getting lost. Would recommend for anyone who wants to go out and get away.
If you like adventure or just a fun hike, you should visit Moon Rocks. Even if you just go to see people rock crawling, it's beautiful, fun, and so close to the city. Give it a try!!!
Great trip for labor day weekend 2023 . Weather was perfect for riding.
Awesome off road open land. Trails, desert, shooting, lake, wild life, and more. Will be a regular place to visit
