Located between I-75 and Highway 19 on SE Highway 42.
The bar/restaurant isn’t open no more. The docks are not accessible except on the boat ramp which it’s hard to fish anywhere around the water. The best thing about Nelson’s is Captain Justin’s AIRBOAT RIDES. And the park itself has decent people living there. They have a laundry Mat with big washers and regular dryers and free Wi-Fi
Had the worst experience of my life here but Shane, Sean idk his name really tried his best to help me, went above and beyond and dealt with alot of b.s. as a result. I appreciate his efforts a great deal.
Went on the airboat ride. We saw several alligators, from 2 weeks old to 5yrs old. You have to live the swamp chickens. We had a great time. Thank you Captain.
I did not stay there or even purchase anything but the man in the office/store was very helpful with a problem I had. I appreciate his kindness in helping me resolve my problem and save the day! Thank you Nelson's Fish Camp guy!
He got a parking pass printed for me that I accidentally left at home and saved me the trouble of finding a place to get something printed in an unfamiliar town. I probably would have been late to the event I was traveling to had he not been so kind as to help me out. Oh, and he didn't even charge me anything! Win...win!
Update, Shane was able to find our reservation and gave us full refund. Lack of communication. We will give then a shot on our next pass thru. Thanks Shane!
