It's far out so unless you are camping it's not the best place to go boating but it's pretty and peaceful being that far from others.
Nice camping spots. Bathrooms available. Good fishing. No bugs, I repeat not even mosquitos! Dragonflies are plentiful. Bring shade, the only thing lacking. A few site have actual shade, but NOT all!!
A beautiful place, with a massive campground to boot. Many outhouses, picnic tables, camping spots, etc.
Hardly any trees which is to be expected on fort peck reservoir, or in that area period. Not much cover of any sort there either.
Tent camping would be sketchy at Nelson Creek, but not impossible. I suppose that would depend on the wind, weather, and/or how good of a tent you have.
It looked to be an awesome spot to view the sky, stars, etc on a moonless night. Wide open views, and near zero light pollution, with a beautiful panorama of badlands on the horizon.
The road in was well maintained. There is a well maintained boat ramp there too
