Great hike that has a few historic abandoned buildings along the way up. The view from the top is amazing.

Trails are visible, areas of ice but mostly accessible and easy to navigate. 2nd completion of this Flattop this year, beautiful scenery. God is good!

BEAUTIFUL!

If you plan on just driving up there, you still get an amazing view from the top! Park on the side of the road and walk to the edge to get the view 😎

For the hike, it was pretty rough. I would wait until the ice melts because that was extremely dangerous doing it. It's a steady incline all of the way up and it hardly flats out. The views from the top were gorgeous!

I recommend having good ice cleats and walking sticks if you're doing this in the winter! For the summer, enjoy the climb 😀

The hike up the mountain was strenuous at times. The path along the side before you finally reach the top is not for the faint of heart. One missed step or vertigo will send you down the mountain with no stopping for a thousand feet. At the top...exhilarating.

There is good and bad. First, this hike it is much steeper than people give credit for. It is not an just a good hike, but a strenuous climb up... you are huffing and puffing unless you are an avid hiker. BUT, the views are beautiful the whole way. My daughter and I didn't finish, but man the view was great. My husband and son did go the rest of the way up

The parking can be crazy crowded, especially for a narrow road on the edge of a mountain. The trail was very crowded when we went on a Saturday, but was helpful because the trail was not well marked. So many people have hiked this mountain that there were so many offshoots of paths. You aren't going to get lost, but you will not know which was is around, straight up, or the switchbacks. My husband who just has a natural compass built in him did fine, but I was completely clueless as to where to go. I had to stop and ask people several times.

So... yes beautiful. If you like steep hikes with lots of incline, you will like this. If you want solitude, don't go on a weekend. Parking stinks when busy, but you wont get lost.
