A primitive campground with a glamping type setting. Nice, clean, paved sights with direct, close access to the Russian River. No hookups whatsoever. Water available at select stations to be hauled back to camp in containers. Public restrooms without showers. Showers available, for a small fee, at Wildman's down the road. Dump stations are available.
Fun campground. Wide space between campsites. No obnoxious generators (a few people used them, but they were quiet and not excessively used and they're far enough away it's not a problem). Great for fishing and hiking. Fun for kids old enough to be safe near the river. Probably not the best place for toddlers as there's not a lot to do for the really little ones.
Love love love this spot! RV lots are spacious and private. Lots of easy access to the Russian River for fishing as well as the confluence. Tons and I mean tons of brown and black bears which we thoroughly enjoyed. Just use common sense and be bear aware! We went towards the end of the first salmon run, early July, which was perfect to avoid the mobs I'd seen just a week or so prior and we still caught fish. Can't recommend this place enough and it's super cheap. No electric or water but we knew that in advance so we're prepared.
Can be quite crowded at times. But a nice campground. I am just not fond of carrying fish up the stairs. Too weak and too lazy carrying 6-12 salmons up the long stairs.
