Lots of visitors and boy that water is quite aways from the designated parking area about .4 tenths of a mile.
Great fishing here. I really like the ability to walk a long ways up and down the river as well. I have found several really good fishing holes nearby.
Absolutely the bestest rock hunting ever!!! Great camping, beautiful woods, lots n lots of beach to explore, wonderful place for the whole family... Too bad they turned it into a pay place but I can understand why.... Its the whole package!!! 🐾
Agates? YES. Bears? YES. This is a must stop if you're visiting the yellowstone river for rockhounding. But I URGE YOU to bring a bear repellant of some sort. We stumbled across a half eaten dear carcass in the bushes while exploring the bank. Remember. No silly rock is worth your life. Like most of the public access points along this river I suggest you bring a kayak so you can reach the more desirable banks. But if you're stuck on one side like we were, well, these photos should tell you the rest.
