This is an open, sunny site in the canyon bottom along the river. There is a forest nearby and fishing opportunities in the Thompson River.
5 miles north of MT 200 on the Thompson River Road
Apparently the design for this statue was created by western artist Charlie Russell but he died before its creation. This statue was created for the centennial of the expedition.
