This is part of my annual North Shore retreat and for good reason. It never fails to make me catch my breath and stay awhile to just stare in awe at the splendor that MN has to offer. Would highly recommend if you're traveling along the North Shore and have limited time for the State Parks.

An amazing State Park. You will have to pay for parking. You can pay ahead of time or pay when you get there. Parking is VERY limited. So, expect a packed lot during peak hours/seasons. Still, very well worth coming here.

The trails are not paved but VERY well maintained. Make sure you have a map In case you decide to hike around. The map is extremely useful. Or, use the gps on your phone to pinpoint where your exact location is. The waterfalls are very nice. There are no guardrails at certain parts so be VERY careful. The only rest rooms are at the campground, where the campground parking is located. Park is dog friendly but we never saw any that were unleashed, for obvious reasons.

Overall, a very nice state park. Trails are easy for someone for. If someone has trouble walking, make sure to take breaks, it's not too hard doing the smaller trails. But if you are doing a longer hike, be prepped. Would highly recommend coming here. Pictures does not give this park justice. Definitely check it out yourself.

This hike is somehow overlooked on most you tube videos, but it is our favorite hike. You can park at hyw marker 100 and enter that way. Beautiful falls!!
