Enter Ft. Chaffee at main gate. Go South to Ft. Smith Blvd. & Turn Rt. Go to Billeting 35.30601N 94.28937W and register. Proceed West to 4th Ave. and turn left. Go South to just short of 23rd St. to the RV Park entrance. If you are driving a big rig 5th wheel or a big motor home pulling a car, be sure to swing wide to make the right turn onto the street that leads to the RV park because you have to negotiate a rather narrow culvert turning off of 4th St. Suggest you unhook your towed car when stopped in the parking lot across from Billeting.
The roads could use a little work, the sites could use some fresh gravel to level them out and the reservation system needs some work. Other than that it’s a nice quiet RV park with plenty of space between sites. Obviously you must be eligible to stay here since it’s on post, but I like that because it more secure. Full hookups at a good price, but if you require laundry and a latrine this place isn’t for you.
Shady spots. Plenty of space between the sites. Very peaceful natural setting. Great place for long refreshing walks. The PX is close by and Ft. Smith is very modern with most everything you need or want. Three places we visited during our stay was Mt. Nebo and Mt. Magazine and drove the Pig Trail thru the Ozark National Forest, all were spectacular well worth the drive.
Very clean and quite! Everyone at the office is accommodating. Our 34’ coach made it easily in and out. It’s a great stay, especially for 8.50 nightly w/full hookups.
Park is on base which is really nice, very small but has full hookups and sits up on a hill which has a nice few.
Base is busy when they have troops there, but during my stay it was very empty. Only 4 of us in the park.
Gravel roads and spots..
I will come back.
