Nice hike steady up hill but nice on return. Thank you Linda for selecting Frisco Creek.
A great hike!! With a panoramic views of the mountains, blue sky and pine trees. Very peaceful and not crowded. We went on April 19th and the trail itself was covered in snow there were patches of green and dirt mud.
A popular trail. I have ridden my horses to one of the 3 lakes. The beauty and variety of views are unsurpassed. Trail head has a small stream. Large parking areas. Is about 5 1/2 miles, 3 thousand ft climb to largest LAKE. I have also horse packed up to timber line to camp and archery elk hunt. All aspects are superlative. No pit toilets at TH. Trail transits dark timber and a spen groves. 3 Steel pipe horse corrals at TH. Precious wild flowers near TH.
Perfect little hike/ride to the base of Bennett Peak...or beyond if you've got the go power. Aspen's, babbling creek, meadows.... perfect and quiet!
We had a great day on the trail and encountered others using the trail also....Just a beautiful hike through lots of trees and along a beautiful stream. With some elevation gain .....But watch those cow patties!
