Off road 520 near lost Trail Campground
Wonderful hiking area that is well maintained but heavily traveled. The hike to lost lake isn’t too bad but there are a few strenuous climbs plus the elevation adds a little to the hike. I would strongly recommend that when you get to the lake you continue up for spectacular views and to get above 10,000 feet in elevation!
Make sure to enjoy some of the side trails for great little waterfalls and pretty views. I can’t wait to get back up in the area and go for more of an extended hike or backpack trip. Make sure to enjoy Nederland when you get back from your hike!
Amazing hike! Not too hard, well marked and beautiful views! I’d recommend going around the lake to get the whole mountain view! They have a shuttle at the bottom to bring you to the trail due to parking.
It was a nice hike but really rocky if you're into that sort of thing.
The waterfalls were great and the lake Was pretty but...with all the hype ... I guess I was just expecting more.
Had awesome time hiking to Lost Lake via Hessie trail. The trail is a moderate hike for me. Some sections of the trail was still snow covered so make sure you are prepared if planning to hike sooner this month.
This is probably my favorite hike so far in 2023. Hiked Hessie Trail to Lost Lake 4th of July weekend. I started around sunrise with only campers on the trail at the point. The lake was beautiful at sunrise. Also, there are several places to stop along the way with waterfalls and nature vie
