Loveys is lovely! Our group had a great time. Perfect location for a river float and the owner was really friendly and helpful. Has all the standard amenities toilet, shower, rubbish bin, water tap, parking and a nice little bar area.
When we first arrived to Lovey's everything was well kept, the bar was open, they had great food, and a bartender that was on top of it. If I was writing this review a year ago it would have gotten five stars...However, since the new hire, the place has gone down hill rapidly. The restaurant is no longer serving real food, they fired the cook and never rehired another. We lived there for over a year, and we had visitors coming to us asking if it was still open...apparently the new manager/bartender gets paid to sit on her "new" front porch near her "new" car instead of keeping the bar going. She would close early, and we had to track her down to pay rent. I understand business is "slow", but you should at least be open the first five days of the month to collect rent. The new manager/bartender is loud, obnoxious, and rude. There is really no need to go to the bar unless you're a local...even then you might as well go up to Rocco's..at least you know when they're open and they have real food to eat!
I guess whoever is responding to these reviews can't read, so I would assume its JUDY! I said and I quote "If I was writing this review a year ago it would have gotten five stars" If this happens to be JEFF responding, boy are you sprung! This review was obviously about your terrible management choice! After your pitiful response I would give you zero stars if I could, you should be happy with one!
I have lived here now for 2 years. It is a beautiful place right along the river so you're able to go fishing for stripers, salmon, catfish, shad. It's quiet it has been a relaxing place for me to live the owner is a great guy his wife is also extremely nice. There is A tent area for those who wanna go camping There is also restrooms and showers And washer and dryer that are all kept clean. I love it here.
I loved living here until they started charging me $478/month for electricity. We had to evacuate in January of this year, 2023, and they would not allow me to return because of “my electricity usage”. Lovey’s claimed that PG&E was causing the rise in costs, except, I was dating the person who was in charge of the entire Sacramento Valley region for PG&E at the time, and he stated that there was no way that my electricity bill should have been higher than Willie Nelson. I moved down the road to Colusa Landing, and my first month’s electricity bill was $66.44 for the entire month. I am a law student, and I will be seeking legal action. I do have a two year time limit to file suit. I would trust Ted Bundy before I trusted these people again.
Very nice and family friendly.
The management is very friendly and very very helpful. If you get the chance to stay, I would definitely take it!!!
