It has good campsites with fire pits; however the lake is covered with pollen from aspen & pine trees that surround the lake. We were told the fish have worms. So if your looking to fish or swim I suggest you try bucks lake it's farther up from snake lake but the water is clean and you can kayak, swim, fish, not sure on over nite camping but it's beautiful.

Watch out for Rattlesnakes, hense the name of the lake, mostly on the eastern side that has only a foot path, wear rubber boots and stay out of the grass. Black Bass, tons of Perch, and awesome nights catching our limits on Catfish.

Nice free lakefront campground with multiple bathrooms. Lots of wildlife and plenty of shade.
