We were posted up here with our camper for 2 days and had the trails all to ourselves, it was an amazing place to stay if you don't want to pay for the Fullerton campground. Bathrooms were the cleanest and freshest smelling I've ever seen at a national forest trailhead, which was quite nice! It has a charcoal grill and a huge covered picnic pavillion to hang out under for lunch. Pitkin is only about 10 min away if you need gas or supplies too. I can definitely see this place being packed during the peak dirtbiking/atv season. Its also open to hikers, mtn bikers and horses. Horses would be enjoyable, but hiking would be dangerous bc of the dirtbikes and atvs speeding around blind corners and its wayy too sandy to enjoy mtn biking. Do not recommend any of these trails for mtn biking unless you wanna be frustrated the whole time and turn around 10 min in.
