We reserved 2 nights for a cabin stay over the 4th of July weekend. When we arrived at around 9pm due to how far away the location is, the office was closed and a note was posted on the door telling us where to go. We bumped into the owner, Rob, and when we explained who we were, he snapped at us that we need to read the note and then couldn't get away from us fast enough. When we arrived at the cabin, we found that the mattresses were very old and beyond uncomfortable. We then attempted to use the picnic table out in front of the cabin, however, when my husband and I sat on the same side together, which we are not huge people, the table flipped over and landed on top of us. My husband was bruised up and we stayed away from using the table. The next adventure was the port-o-potties, which we found were completely full and filthy. The next day, we chose to sleep in our car rather than stay another night at this 'resort'. When we contacted the office to discuss the situation, we were told they would try to refund our 2nd night, but that the owner most likely wouldn't. When I spoke with the owner directly and explained the situation, he was again incredibly rude, stating that he wouldn't provide a refund because a reservation was a reservation, and then promptly hung up on me.

Be aware, that the cancelation for a reservation is 2 weeks, whether they provide a safe, sanitary, and/or comfortable stay for you or not. The owner seems to be a very angry man who certainly didn't have any concern for our experience or well-being.

We didn't stay here but we did stop by for some drinks after leaving Ozette. The general store was really well stocked but as others have mentioned the old man running the place is a jerk. Just flat out rude. The guys really should find another line of work if hates people so much

Stayed here instead of the National Park spot as it was full, but it's only about a half-mile walk to where the trails to the coast pick up. The general store is well stocked for such a remote location, and they had an excellent selection of beers.

I've had several bad experiences with the owner. He even cussed me out and told me to leave for asking to borrow a pen once. I've heard from others that he picks and chooses who he is nice to based on your appearance and needs. If you just a hiker stopping for supplies he will not be nice to you he wants you to spend more money on his terrible "resort"
