Beware of cancellation policy! We originally intended to camp here for a week beginning October 28, but we have had a family emergency requiring a cancellation. I reached out to cancel with 54 days notice and because this request was NOT WITHIN 48 HOURS of my original booking window (which was back in June), I've only received 50% my payment back (which was the full amount) less an additional $15 cancellation fee.
I responded to staff indicating my confusion (I thought I'd get the full amount only less $15), to which the Resort Manager, Christopher, promptly replied (thank you) that his hands were tied as he only can click a button and the Good Sam website does the rest.
The principle of retaining your full reservation amount only being possible if you cancel within 48 hours (but more than 14 days in advance of your reservation) is greedy and not a customer friendly one.
Please learn from my mistake and read the cancellation policy for the loop-holes.
What a wonderful resort! The manager Christopher keeps the place very clean and he is so attentive to guests. Which I truly appreciate. Great manager. We been here for a month now and I couldn’t be more happy. We have dogs with us so for me is very important to have a place to walk them and the area is perfect. It’s spacious, surrounded by trees and just beautiful nature.
The park wifi is incredible, one of the best we have experienced. it’s fast and super reliable.
We have stayed in over 8 different resorts and my husband and I can agree, this one takes #1. I completely recommend staying here. We love it!!
Christopher is an amazing RV park host. The price for staying is a bit high if you are not in your own RV, but it's peaceful and the RV he allowed us to use was nice and spacious. Full hook ups and park bath houses and cabins if you don't have an RV.
We stayed in one of their cabins. It was very cute and cozy. Except when we first got in there, it was like an ice box because no heat had been going and it took forever for the plug in oil heater to kick. Also, we were expected to clean our dishes, but there was no sink in the cabin and the sink station outside was frozen. Hopefully we don't get a cleaning bill for that. Other than that, it was a great stay. Christopher up at the office is a really awesome person. There's a cool trail leading to a cute little pond where there's chairs. It wasn't far from the Treehouse Zip lines and the grill across the highway has excellent burgers.
