The shaded riverfront park with picnic area and shelter house is located on the historic spot where Abraham Lincoln operated his ferryboat business on the Ohio River from Kentucky to Indiana. Lincoln Ferry Park is part of the Ohio River Scenic Byway, located on the beautiful Ohio River, just west of Troy, on Highway 66 next to the Anderson River.
Someone left large tins of cat food under the picnic tables in the shelter house. This will draw more than domestic cats. I'm sure there are plenty of skunks and raccoons taking advantage.
The informational boards on Abraham Lincoln were great to share with my kindergartener who has been learning about our 16th president and enjoyed rolling her eyes and saying, "I know, mom!"
There is a strange lot to the west with a school bus, campers, and a porta-potty.
A nice quiet place to fish maybe hang out dog friendly picnic area nice little spot
Roadside Parks are quickly going out of style
The Lincoln ferry park is a historic treasure in the Rough. In it's hay day holiday weekends it was packed with camper, boaters, picnics and family reunions.
