1/4 Mile south of JCT US-50 and HWY 96 at South Hutchinson, KS
Manager was very nice and assisted us over the phone with a one night reservation. I was impressed with the existence of a storm shelter ( It is Kansas...) in the building housing the showers/toilet rooms. Very clean and secure with combination locks. Highly recommend!
Very nice little park. I had not made reservations, but the lady I talked to was very nice and helpful and with her instructions I easily did "after hours" check-in, got the correct code to get everything, no problem. The bathroom was clean and warm, but the water in the shower could have been warmer. The park is close to everything, so I can get gas and get on 61 south easy peasy in the morning. Quiet & peaceful spot. I was here in a 24' Class C.
We will be back. We only stayed one night. Area was clean, well marked for out spot, picnic table, fire-spot, a few trees, easy pull thru for our 5th wheel. Some lighting, bring a flashlight. Easy access to utilities. Internet available but I am not sure we used it. Small lake nearby to walk to. I saw Herron and geese as well as a few others.
The long term stay folks were fabulous. We came back from our event, our dogs (in the camper) were happy to see us ran down the steps. Our deaf and almost blind pug wondered off before I could get her harness and leash on. These folks got out and started helping us look for her. It took quite a while but she was found.
Best campground around the area, nice location right outside of South Hutchinson, this is our second time here and we like it. Jennifer has always been a good host to deal with! Sites are always clean and nice. I've never been in the cabins so I can't speak for them.
