You won't believe you are still in Kansas! C2T Ranch is a working regenerative cattle ranch, with over 4 miles of Saline River running through it. Amazing 150' tall limestone cliffs rise above river and several spring fed creeks feed into the river. There is hiking galore in the canyons or on the cliffs, fishing in the rivers, or bird watching on the native prairie above the cliffs. Fossil hunters can find a variety of fossilized shells, as well as native septarian and calcite for the rockhounds.
Our picturesque, secluded campground has primitive and powered campsites, plus several glamping tent, all dispersed along an amazing horseshoe bend of the Saline River, each with direct river access. We're only a 20 minute drive north of Hays, Kansas and I-70, come visit us today!
Our address is 1202 Saline River Road, Plainville, KS. However, be cautious of using GPS only to get to our house. Many times the directions are not correct, so we recommend exiting the interstate at Exit 159 - Hays and following these directions:
Directions: go north of Hays (exit 159) on US 183, 14 miles. Right after you cross the Saline River bridge, you'll find the intersection for Saline River Road. Turn west, left, and go 4.5 miles. There you will see Hyacinth Ave going north, and our driveway going south. It's marked by a mailbox with 1202 on it.
Go south down the driveway, a little over a mile, past an old rock barn and you'll see the house. We will lead you to the campsite from there.
Great place to camp for a quick night as I drove with my dog across the country. Wish I could have stayed long enough to see it in the daylight.
Stayed here last week with my friends on our way through to CO. It was a last minute booking with quick response through Hipcamp. Greatly appreciate the stay and amenities. Beautiful spot we had all to ourselves. Watched lightning bugs, and a lightning storm move in. Magical place for sure.
Enjoyed our stay here! The glamping tent we stayed in was very nice and cozy!
Wonderful privately owned campground with very friendly camp hosts. I highly recommend primitive site #20. It has a tree swing, private beach, easy hiking access. Definitely pleasantly surprised by this hidden treasure.
A beautiful spot to relax and getaway. No cell service, which we liked. There are some critters at night (raccoons and coyotes) so keep your food stowed away tight 😀 Very enjoyable experience and the glamping tent was great!
