Came out to bisit some good friends who's family owns "The Backyard". Fishing was/is Amazing. Drum, Channel and Flathead Catfish and White Bass so far. There are also monster Gar that I haven't caught yet. Beautuful Lake Stamford!!
Very friendly staff as well as helpful! I tent camped and fish here for the first time and it was nice and peaceful! I did night fishing and OMG lost 3 and one of those snapped my hook but managed to get 1 nice catfish. 15" cat and i use 11" boots and the fish was wider just so you know. Extremely fun and peaceful place to go and definitely I will be returning!
Good size lake no catch but it was at least below 44 degrees so a bit nippy but still enjoyed the day
Our cabin had some maintenance needed, and the turtles frequent the pier to often for their safety. It was difficult too fish from the bank with our lines getting snagged almost every other time. Residents are very friendly, and the staff was nice (although we checked in right before they closed). We enjoyed our relaxing stay and had fun fishing.
