First come, first served campground for $18 per night. No water, no hookups. Vault toilets are in the middle of the campground. Very clean place with no one around. Today is Saturday, September 12th. The sky was yellow/orange all day from the fires. No wind, not even a breeze. There’s a small lake that we didn’t go to. Some residential homes spotted around the grounds, which is odd, but we are not too deep in the forest. T Mobile cell service is pretty good. We stayed in #15, a pull through spot under dense pines protecting us from the smoke (or so we think.)
My husband went there to fish and I tagged along. Gorgeous day. There is a small dock to fish from, some lakeside fishing and a boat launch. Great for kayaking and water sports too. I took a little walk around the camp site and it was lovely. There are a few picnic tables as well. Very relaxing day!
Beautiful lake to paddle, boat, fish, swim..etc. Scenic backdrop of some snowy peaks with private parcels surrounding the shoreline, makes for a chill atmosphere and good time.
Lake Leland Campground will be open April 1st- Oct 31st
Lake Leland Park Rd, Quilcene, WA 98376
Clean & well maintained primitive campsites. The lake is close to the campground.
Very quiet here, peaceful and serene. It has 22 campsites and restrooms, No showers tho
The lake is stocked with trout in April. And has a great fishing dock. Great views saw eagles too in the beautiful valley it's in.
We have been camping here for years great local county park. No reservations needed. Great place to fish for beginners. This lake is awesome for kayaks and small boats. Only negative that I have is there is no designated swim area. My son caught his first trout.
