Many people may drive right past this park on their way to the Olympic Peninsula not knowing that it has one of the best publicly accessible views of the Olympic Mountains from Kitsap. Walking to the far side of the playground then down the ramp to the beach, you'll find a magnificent unobstructed view of nearly the entire eastern range. Photographers should get here in the morning to get the best light.

This park also has some great campsites, cabins, a nice playground, plenty of day-use picnic areas, and ample parking. A camp host/ranger was onsite as well. There is even a large ranch ballroom on site for large parties. Bathrooms are in good shape and seem well-maintained.

Great place for lunch or a few nights of sylvan getaway!

Beautiful place to watch the sunset! Took a great walk there to look at native plants and saw the group campsites.

Yes, they have restrooms, a play ground, parking lot, picnic tables, campsites and they are dog friendly. Great area ! Have been there 4 times this year and saw something new each time!

Kitsap Memorial State Park is a serene and picturesque escape that offers a wide range of outdoor experiences. As a nature enthusiast, I found this park to be a hidden gem in the Pacific Northwest. The lush forested trails are perfect for hiking, and the views of Hood Canal are simply breathtaking.

The park's camping facilities are well-maintained and offer a peaceful retreat. Whether you prefer tent camping or RV camping, you'll find a comfortable spot to enjoy the natural surroundings. The waterfront areas are great for picnics, and there's even a playground for the kids.

What sets Kitsap Memorial State Park apart is its rich history, with remnants of military fortifications adding an interesting historical dimension to your visit.

For a day trip or a longer outdoor adventure, Kitsap Memorial State Park is a wonderful destination. It's a place where you can connect with nature, learn about local history, and create lasting memories with family and friends. I highly recommend a visit to this tranquil park.

This gem sits on Hood Canal. It features clean restrooms, a playground for the kiddos, and a walking path to discover the waterfront view of the floating bridge, Olympic mountains, or local waterfront habitat. We are making plans for a family gathering. The stunning Pavillion is large for just such an occasion. We highly recommend!

Stop at Latte on your Way, grab a coffee and then head to this park to explore. Even on a rainy day, this is a big park and there is lots to explore. It's also a great spot for whale watching, and mushroom photography. There is a trail down to the water and beach and could be a good spot to take a dip. There is horseshoe, playground, trails, uncovered and covered picnic areas, BBQs, cabins and more. Go check it out!
