Stunning, powerful waterfalls that are within a 10-20 minute easy walk of each other. The parking lot at the Sahalie Falls viewpoint can fill up quickly (even in winter), so plan to come early (before 9 or 10 AM, at least).

One point to consider: The viewpoint at Koosah Falls that is often shared on social media is EXTREMELY steep to get down to. As in, you almost have to climb back up on your hands and knees. It is not a maintained trail and is clearly not meant to be used by tourists. It is absolutely beautiful, but be prepared for the climb back up.

Easy view of the waterfall. Short distance from parking spots. Beautiful trail going up to Sahalie Falls. Hiked on 7/29/23.

I absolutely love this place! A few fun facts are Sahalie falls (the single big one among my pictures) is the top (1st) waterfall that starts the trail to Koosah Falls which is just about a 10 min little hike down along the river. Sahalie Falls, in particular, is also the waterfall in the old classic movie "Homeward Bound." It's just a little fun fact for anyone who didn't know, lol. I also like this place becUse it's probably one of the easiest big waterfalls to locate/drive too because if you're in Springfield, Oregon then all you gotta do is go up main street towards Thurson and just stay on main street and follow that for about 45 minutes and it'll literally be on the left lol. Anyway, I recommend anyone who likes waterfalls or just a nice like spot for a getaway, then this is the spot.
