Island camp, located along Bird Creek, is a perfect home base for exploring Mount Adams. Near lava tubes, Island Camp provides many recreation opportunities for visitors to take advantage of. Campsites can accommodate up to a 32-foot RV, though size may vary by site.

Directions: From Bird Creek entrance road, continue on K-4000 Road for 1.4 miles. Turn left on K-4200 Road. Go 1.1 miles. Turn left and go .2 miles to camp.
No reservations; first come first served.
It's soo beautiful and the cabin is nice, you can build a fire inside and hsve one outside also. The creek being right there is great, you go to sleep with the sound of the creek in your ears, soooo peaceful.
I've been coming here for years now. A real gem that some don't treat well. If you can, please bring a trash bag to help keep this special spot clean for the next guests 😀
The locals here are the definition of entitled. It's a lovely spot tho.
