Google maps led me into someone's yard and they didn't like that too much.

Google maps lead us the wrong way. Go north of the river and turn left at the Corner of Stewart ave and 325th street. There’s only 2 camping spots but it’s free and you’re right on the river. The sand bar is beautiful w mazes of creeks running through it. The sunsets and stars are amazing. And the only people we saw were local fishers

Most of the photos posted here are of a stretch of private property between the county access park and public hunting grounds, not of the park itself. The park offers free camping (two spots), but the camping is very rustic. There are no facilities on site and, except for the camping spots, the park has been left alone. Expect to trudge through brush to get to the river (the exact amount of brush depends on where you want to access -- anywhere from a few feet to roughly a quarter mile). Very few people seem to visit this park, and there is some evidence that those who do are prone to bad decisions. (Note the bullet holes in signs.) Much larger public lands lie across the river and may be better suited.
