Went in 2022 and was kind of a mess due to construction. Came back to a beautiful new park in July 2023 (mostly done)! Awesome views back to Wisconsin. Great hiking trails, especially the south loops and carve out sections. Don't miss the ski trail not on the map - a mowed grass trail with blackberries, raspberries, and orange raspberries! Sooo good in July. 😋

Nice park and based on the number of dogs (a lot) it's dog friendly. I enjoyed Effigy Mounds more but probably personal preference. Was worth stopping since we were driving past anyhow.

Great park for camping that sits right on the Mississippi River.

The bathrooms are really nice. They are newly redone with showers, sinks that have running water and toilets that flush. The shower and sink water gets nice and warm. The entire bathroom is accessible.

The sites had electric hookup, a picnic table and a fire pit. The pads were gravel and not all were level.

Right near the campsite is two overlooks of the Mississippi River and multiple trailheads.

Wonderful experience. Definitely had my heart racing on the way up! But on the way day was a dream view! I’m happy the family and I could overcome our fear of heights.
