Marion County Park Campground has 99 campsites. Campsite amenities range from 50 Amp electric with water to 50 Amp full service with sewer.The campground also contains a modern shower building, one additional flush restroom, picnic shelter and campground host on site.
The 140 acre “County Park” is MCCB’s oldest recreation area. Its rolling hills contain many opportunities for recreational enjoyment. A campground with 99 campsites, shower/restroom facilities and picnic shelters provide for a summer family retreat. A 7 acre fishing lake, drained, dredged and restocked in 2015, provides an excellent location to fish for large mouth bass, bluegill and catfish. Picnic areas with playground equipment, flush restrooms and picnic shelters are available for daily usage. A basketball court, baseball and softball fields are also located in the park. The Marion County Historical Society maintains a historical village at the park, complete with a log cabin, museum, country schoolhouse, church, general store and stagecoach inn; that are open for display on weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Additionally, the park has a diverse array of scenic backdrops; including, a fishing pier, covered bridge, historical buildings and natural foliage settings that are utilized by photographers for inspirational, family and senior class pictures. Locals have known and travelers are learning that, Marion County Park is a destination for many recreational enthusiasts.
Marion County Park Campground is closed from the last Sunday in October until the second Friday in April.
Seasonally: Some areas of Marion County Park will have restricted access and Flush Restrooms will be Closed from October through April.
