Fun historic mill in the scenic hills of NE Iowa. Need to check when Mill is open. Just renovated accompanying stonehouse into a welcome center and inn.
Beautiful place, first time back to see the Mill since the bridge was rebuilt. So happy to see it re-built and the hiking trails so well maintained. Only had time for one trail but my grandkids had a blast. Will be back to try out the rest. The kids also like seeing two people fishing while kayaking down the river.
Was a fun little side trip to see some cool historic buildings and bridge. Short trip from Osbourne nature center. Go see it if you haven't yet.
This is a very interesting place with a great history...free...cool bridge
We were just driving along and saw a brown sign. Took the road and came across this very cool gem of a site. We were there on Sept.24. So it wasn't open. But still very interesting to read the signs and admire the amazing stone buildings. The bridge story is very interesting also. They have done a lot of work there and seem to have more planned There is a great camping area there with nice clean toilets. Good job to everyone involved. Beautiful country. Very glad we stopped
