From town: Go 4 mi SE on US 52, then 7 mi E on Massey Station Rd.
I want to thank Shawn and his wife very much for going to the extra mile and staying open beyond hours on Thursday night in order for us to get gas and sweatshirts. As we were not familiar with the river in the area you were more than accommodating in staying on the phone with us until we got to the marina. We appreciate you going the extra mile and demonstrating excellent customer service. We will for sure be stopping back again soon. If I could rate more than five stars I would!!!
So, after spending many weekends over the last couple years at the dock side of the Station we had our first major issue today. We were docked while listening to the music, buying several rounds at the bar, and 7 full meals, we were accused, by an "employee", of not spending money at the bar and just drinking from our coolers. We all thought he was joking at first but when we realized he wasn't we asked if he was the owner. He was not and no one sent him down to talk to us. Once we sent him to get the owner abd asked her if over $200 worth of merchandise was not enough she apologized. We will give them o e more try.
Pretty decent boat ramp. Little bit of current coming through the slough but not terrible.
Great camping spot on the Mississippi River! You have to eat at Massey Marine Restraunt. Ate breakfast on the porch over looking the RIVER. People are great, Tug Boat cooks an amazing breakfast and live bands on weekend.
