The place sucked. They dont have a clear entrance. I almost drove into a lake, and i could barely fit in the entrance. The staff is really nice, but when you have to literally PAY for showers, it really isnt comparable to other places. I would in a heartbeat choose a different spot then here.

Dad and Marcie rented a condo for my Dad's 80th birthday. We had a pug and so we paid an additional pet deposit along . When we checked in we got to the condo and here comes a staff member asking which bedroom we were staying in. They went to the room and took all the blankets leaving us with a single sheet. These condo's are not cheap and at no time were we told to bring our own blankets. They also don't tell you that you are required to clean the condo before you leave. You have to vacuum and sweep to avoid a cleaning deposit. The condo was musty smelling and there were spider webs. You could see daylight through a crack in the one bedroom. The scenery was beautiful but the accommodations were not. We will not be going back.

My dad has been staying here and/or launching for a day for fishing here for at least 20+ years and me and my two boys have spent the past two summers here fishing/camping with grandpa for a week in June. There may be larger campgrounds with a few more updates at times, but the quiet, off the beaten path campsite with choruses of birds, deer walking through the campsite and the fact that ive never come across a loud, disrespectful crowd camping here, make this a great stop to start a family vacation tradition.

You are a part of nature here. Cell reception is spotty. There is WiFi at the store, but it is weak. This is a great place to unplug. The trails are well groomed and great for walking or mountain bikes. The atmosphere encourages random chats with your temporary neighbors. It's family friendly and also a good place for couples. The store is well stocked for small items you may have forgotten, plus some touristy things you may want to purchase. They have ice cream for when your extra hot too! Staff and the owners are unbelievablely nice and accommodating with genuine care for your enjoyment. The marina is beautiful. While there are a bunch of people here, you never feel like there are.

We have been staying here for 4 years now. Condos are amazing! Owners are exceptional! Kelly is the best! Easy lake access. Have been visiting Sakakawea for many years before we stayed at Indian Hills and we will never again stay anywhere else. Highly recommended! - Matt and Casey
