Haven't explored most of the grasslands yet but there are few people out here, trails to hike, places to camp, and plenty to explore.
Wonderful places to walk in and explore. My dog and I had a such a wonderful visit here.
A great Place to get a hike in or just enjoy the great outdoors. The camp ground on the north end of the area is also a pretty good place to check out if you need to stop for cheap in the area. The trial is typically in good condition and mostly well marked and mapped. The hunting for deer is ok and the hunting for pheasant is ok. You'll find more grouse then anything else. The glacial till is really cool too.
A wonderful hike with many awesome views. The Trail is well marked. The gates are easy to use. I am thru-hiking the North Country Trail and this part of my journey really shows what North Dakota looks like.
Peaceful beauty. Quiet and absent of major noise pollution. A great place to let your mind wander as you hike through wide open spaces.
