About Campground

Indian Camp Creek Park is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. It is St. Charles County’s largest park with 603 acres, including more than 10 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and equestrian use. Camping, disc golf, fishing and an inclusive playground are just some of the amenities found there. Situated at the confluence of Big Creek and Indian Camp Creek, fishing is plentiful. A large lake on the property is stocked with bluegill, bass, and catfish.

History lovers will find the park exciting as well and will want to find their way to the historical Cannon family cemetery. This cemetery has been preserved on park property and has headstones dating back to the early 19th century. Additionally, a "ghost structure" of the original log cabin built in the late 1800s on the site still stands in the park.

Climb to the top of the restored silo, which serves as an observation tower, and discover the beautiful prairies, vast wooded hills, and protected habit found throughout the park.

Group camping site is designed for large group activities and can accommodate up to 100 guests or 200 for an additional fee. Eight individual sites also are available. Rental Fee is $75 per weekday night, or $150 for mandatory two-day weekend reservation.

Directions

From Interstate 70, go north on Highway 61 for approximately 7 miles to Dietrich Road.

Turn left (west) on Dietrich Road to the park entrance.

This place is a hidden treasure! I have been taking my son, his friends, and our dog to this place ever since we first discovered it years ago. Its by far their favorite natural setting to go to that's close by us. It's got trails all along the creek that we ventured upon recently. The kids like to swim in the creek, but they also love to visit the playgrounds! This place is awesome for children of all ages. I have teenage boys who absolutely love this place! It is a very safe spot for little ones to swim and play in the water, too. There are picnic tables in the covered pavilion you can utilize, so bring a cooler with snacks. There are several restrooms near the playgrounds as well, so it's got everything you need for a day of fun in the sun. Indian camp creek is a great getaway spot for the day, or you can camp out there if you like. Our dog loves to play in this creek, so bring your dog!

A great park! The area is beautiful with the

creek, woods, and open plains area. The playground is in great shape. It was very clean and all equipment was functional. There are bathrooms on the premises and they were the cleanest public restrooms I’ve ever seen. There is a shelter house and lots of picnic tables available.

We stopped at this park on the way home from our visit to Florida. We were immediately struck by the natural beauty surrounding the very well manicured and beautifully landscaped park and playgrounds.

This park is both beautiful and fun for all ages!

Also there is a fishing peir!

This Park is a Must Stop if you are on a long road trip with children😍
