Tin Can Flat Campground features 11 camp units, potable water (June-October), and vault toilets. Please observe the Pack it In, Pack it Out refuse policy. Attractions include St. Joe Wild and Scenic River, fishing, floating (until mid-July).
From Avery, ID, take FH 50 east 11.3 miles to campground sign. Turn right into campground.
Lots of trees that provide shade. Access to the river. Well maintained
Fire pit and charcoal BBQ
Awesome fishing access to the St. Joe and not very crowded. Campground is well taken care of. Had a ton of fun here!
The location is beautiful - well-shaded on great stretch of the St Joe. Campsites are reasonably well spaced and private. Good fishing right behind it. Toilets were disgusting, though. There is no host and maintenance crews must not come through very often
