Just 30 min south of Montpelier, VT on I-89, get tucked away into the meadows' edge on a working hillside livestock farm.
Our 88-acre farm spreads up a steep hillside above the village of Randolph, one mile away. The land is a mixture of open areas where we rotate our sheep flock daily, and wooded land with trails and old stone walls. The campsite faces east high on the property, toward the sunrise and the mountains. Regularly we see deer, turkeys and foxes, with a bear family that includes our farm in its travel territory. You might hear the occasional car or truck on a nearby road, but more likely you'll hear our sheep baaing to one another, the cows across the valley trumpeting, or the hawks whistling. The energy here is calming and peaceful--we know you will love it as much as we do.
Since this is a working farm, we'll ask you to be careful of the electric fences (marked!), to close gates after you go through them, and not to pet the rams (there is signage). The woods are yours to walk about, we connect to a network of mountain biking trails, and we can point you in some great directions for off-farm activities if you want to use us as a home base.
Any wild blackberries you find are yours to enjoy!
