It's great because you're in Yosemite Valley. We rented a riverside unit, so the location was great. The front office was very enjoyable to work with to check in and out. The one draw back is the unit was very dusty and grimy under the beds. Walls could use some paint.

This camp site is really loud. People playing loud music, groups of people drinking and talking loud, lots of kids running around screaming. The camp didn't get quiet until about 11:30 p.m., 90 minutes past the quiet time rule of 10 o'clock. The hot water was not working in the showers, ice cold shower is no fun at all. Looking for a peaceful evening with a quiet night's sleep, DO NOT STAY HERE! The camps are concrete walls with a canvas top over the top, a queen size mattress and a bunkbed. A fire ring pit is nice for cooking food. If you don't mind lots of noise at night, this is the place for you. If you enjoy a quiet environment STAY AWAY!

You may be posted next to an extremely busy road with no recourse, and no earplugs will block the noise. Enjoy listening to RVs blast by throughout the night. The beds aren't really more comfortable than sleeping on the ground, and the only real amenity this site has over tent camping is the single plug. Because the canvas structures don't seal in any way, a tent is significantly better for insect and pest mitigation, and will be generally cleaner too.

Quiet hour is 10pm so you're out of luck if you are an early to bed type or want to wake up early to hike.

If you do stay here, spending extra for the river cabins may be better for road noise, but probably wouldn't be better in the other regards.

Bedding was not included and the rental covers were small and too thin to provide adequate warmth for the cold nights. In the evenings the air was heavy with smoke from neighboring campfires. Otherwise staff is very friendly; bathrooms, sinks and campsite were very clean; ample electrical outlets, lighting and shelving; and bear-proof lockers were easy to use. Overall stay at Housekeeping Camp was pricier than expected. I’d prefer a more comfortable stay in Curry Village or bring my own equipment to stay at Camp 4.

We went with our kids . It was a great experience. It was a first time camping with kids so a great experience. Not too wild but you get an idea of what it feels like to do camping in nature without a lot of facilities. We just brought our sleeping bags and rented bed sheets and pillows from there. The bathrooms were clean . Our camp was right next to the serene river . We really enjoyed the community feel formed there by our neighbors. They completely decorated their camps with Halloween theme and it was so lovely and lively.

One things which I didn’t like was that the beds and floors were not clean. I know they are trying to give you a camp like feel but you are paying quiet much so you do expect a little cleanliness.
