About Campground

Spring Cove Campground is located across the street from Bass Lake in a grove of oak, pine and cedar, and is well suited for tents or small RVs. The sites are shaded and clustered close together. Bass Lake offers many recreational activities and is a popular summer destination.

Each campsite has a picnic table and campfire ring. Drinking water and accessible flush toilets are provided. The facility's short parking spurs are paved and dirt-surfaced. Due to tight turns and configurations, this camp is not suitable for large travel trailers or RVs.

Directions

Spring Cove is located about 20 miles south of Yosemite National Park. From Highway 41, take Bass Lake turn-off (Road 222). Head southeast about 3.5 miles to the Bass Lake Campground registration office for check-in (keep to right). The campground is southeast another 4 miles.

Fees

In accordance with standard industry practices, Sierra Recreation will be assessing a $10 additional vehicle fee per day on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicle in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered as one vehicle for determining additional vehicle fees. The third and fourth motorcycle would also be considered as one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles.

A very nice campground to set up your tent not too far from Yosemite National Park & very close to Bass Lake. Friendly Rangers at the entrance to check in and very clean flush toilets near the tent sites. Each site is slightly shaded but it is mostly sunny. The rangers were consistent with cleaning the campground and bathrooms. No electric hookup. $40/night.

Not only is it clean and beautiful. The neighbors are friendly. The camping spots are quite a big lot; ample spaces. Restaurant is just a five minute walk or so. Boats/floats/jet ski rentals right at the lake. Prices are fair. Day-Use parking available near the lake for a reasonable fee. Clean up after yourself and you'll be able to enjoy this beautiful camp for years to come. Follow camp safety rules and your stay will be peaceful.

Other than it’s a tight fit in this campground it’s nice. A large vehicle could have a bit of trouble. The restrooms are clean and so is the campground. The only negative thing was other campers who are loud at night. I still here the heckle of some lady in my head. She was drunk and was still heckling away and telling bad jokes at 2am. Other than that get to the lake early because the access areas get packed.

We didn’t fit in the site, due to a steep hill. All the campsites, and the campgrounds in the area were fully booked. Didn’t have a place to go (with our 5 kids). We did get a full refund.

The campground is great. The restrooms are kept pretty clean. We go every year. The camp host this year was a crabby old lady. No showers or electricity hook ups.
