We camped at Dorabelle on the weekend of July 15. Beautiful kept campground. We stayed on campsite #7. It was spacious, and it had additional room up on a boulder. The bathrooms were near the campsite and were kept clean. A water spigot very nearby on the campsite. The lake is about a seven minute walk down the road. The camp host Beu and his partner were awesome! They came around in the mornings to greet everyone and to make sure we were doing good! Also, they were very helpful because our truck broke down two miles down the road from the campground and they recommended an awesome tow company that were able to help us out! We will definitely be coming back again!
Dorabelle was great! The hosts were very attentive and kept everything clean. Be aware that there are only outhouses and no sinks/ showers. Water was great in the 2023 season, though, and you can get as much as you like and bring it to the campsite.
As always we had a fantastic time. The camp hosts, Frank and Jamie, are amazing and always help out and make the camping experience so much better! They do an amazing job at keeping the campground/restrooms clean and offer friendly conversation whenever we run into them. Thank you for everything! Already looking forward to next year.
Cool campground and would be better if they had showers situated on the grounds. It is close enough to food options and small stores so if you’re in a pinch and forget some items, you aren’t far away. People respected the quiet times which was nice because I have small children and there are grounds keepers who go around to ensure that people are respectful. The vault toilet is absolutely disgusting and it makes it hard to do your business in there because it feels like you’re in a gas chamber. Recommend bringing a portable toilet aka bucket and lid toilet! Would have been much better than the vault!
The camp host was very friendly and helpful. Campsites were well kept. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. It was a short walk to the lake, where there was a beautiful cove and a nice day use area. Around $65 per night
