A horse trail complex winds for more than 30 miles along both sides of Holston Mountain. Visit the scenic Blue Hole waterfall located off TN Highway 91. We drove the nine miles on forest service roads to pay respects at the F4 memorial. It is very remote. If you go, plan for a couple of hours of switchbacks and long steep grades. It's worth the drive. Its a nice tribute to the two pilots who were killed in 1976. We wanted to hike to the fire tower, but it was getting dark.
