This is a nice little picnic area but my kids were disappointed there were no swings. It’s great for fishing or resting, picnicking or playing on two moderate playgrounds. I think people like to camp here too and we have had some events here for our battalion. It’s nice but nothing spectacular.

Quiet peaceful and clean, a primarly natural open pond Family Recreation Area surrounded by pictuesque Pine and Crypress Topography. Boasts Natural hiking and walking paths, multiple seperate shady picnic areas for groups, or individuals. Dotting amoungst them are eloquently placed boardwalks branch over the expansive pond boardered by lushious velvety green belt. Well equiped playareas give smaller children focal spots to release their pent up energy while Mom, Dad or Grandparents relax supervising them from close up benches. Screened pavillions ranging in size are reaservable for feative events. Outhouses and seperate intermitant pioneer water taps serve as a means to cool off in temerate or warmer weather.

Love it. It's a beautiful place to fish or relax while the kids play on the playground equipment. With that being said, STAY AWAY FROM THE EDGE OF THE WATER! IT IS HOME TO ALLIGATOR'S! Don't walk your dog's to close to the water. They could be ambushed by an alligator and dragged into the water. Humans (especially children) too. If your going to fish back up enough where you have time to move in an ambush!

Great military RV park! The spots with partial hookups are in the wooded area and there are also full hookup spots more out in the open. Pretty well maintained, and a laundry facility being built. We stayed in the wooded area and found it to be fairly quiet . We did find it unusual that the apparent "camphosts" in site 1 , never said hello , never smiled or waved and did not appear to do so to anyone for the entire 3 weeks we were there. In fact upon seeing us struggle with something outside they choose to watch and laugh from their site. Quite rude and unwelcoming. Maybe it's time for new hosts in the park.
