We had a great camping experience this past weekend! Bathrooms were super clean, and I like things clean. Lol. Very hot water. One draw back is the shower house was a longish walk away from our plot after a 6.5 mile hike. Tim, the owner, was super helpful and kind and pleasant. Our spot, H5, had plenty of space. Neighbors were close enough to not be scared alone, but far enough to have privacy. We tented. Bring your own water to brush teeth/wash hands in your spot. Overall quiet and peaceful and serene experience.
RV camping very rustic old school campground.. George and Tim owners..very nice. Within 4 miles of Bethel Center for the arts Woodstock Museum..that is why we camped there. Would go back again..no frills and lots of fun
We had the perfect camping experience at Happy Days! We arrived after dark, but George helped us get set up with firewood and directions. The site was absolutely stunning to wake up to. The woods around are pretty open, and the foliage was incredible. We spent the day hiking nearby on great trails, and we stopped by Bethel Woods to see the Woodstock memorial.
The site had a well-maintained fire ring, a picnic table, and a flat, clear space for our tent. There was a fresh water spigot very close by, so we didn’t have to bring big jugs of water. There are bathrooms and showers available which were shockingly clean and nice to use.
The campgrounds weren’t too busy, so we had a lot of privacy and space to ourselves. The people we did run into were all incredibly nice and friendly.
The campground is pretty close to the raceway, so on Saturday night you could hear the car racing which was pretty loud. It was not an issue at all, and it ended before we went to bed.
Tl;dr WONDERFUL campgrounds with everything you need, friendly people, and in a gorgeous setting. We’ll definitely be coming here again!
Tim and his mother were so accommodating. An excellent spot with clean bathrooms, hot showers, and a wonderful shared rec room.
My husband and I had concert tickets at Bethel Wood and wanted to stay close by and not pay the high cost of a hotel and decided to camp. The entire campgrounds are tree covered and beautiful. Camp sites are carved into nature and include a picnic bench and a fire ring. Fire wood is sold in bundles. It is 12 min to the concert site. Bathroom with shower facilities included. Would definitely stay again.
