This place is pretty neat. I didn't do the entire trail because of being strapped for time. But what I did see was phenomenal. Oh, and the intoxicating smell of the pines was overwhelming and amazing.
This is one of my favorite hikes in Oregon. It encompasses everything Oregon has to over and has amazing views and is a really great hike. Not too strenuous but definitely a workout. Bring repellent tho! Definitely want to back pack here and camp someday. Well maintained also. Have a picnic by the lake and bring a hammock!
One of the most beautiful trails I have seen. Not very steep but the snow could be slippery on the top. Usually a heavy track trail, but was quiet in Thursday afternoon in the end of September. The lake looked normal. I am a slow hiker, took about 5.5 hours.
